Eight Projects Receive FY27 Opioid Restitution Funds

Eight projects will receive funds from Allegany County’s Fiscal Year 2027 Opioid Restitution Fund.  Just shy of $230,000 will be dispersed exclusively for opioid-related programs and services that help tackle the opioid epidemic affecting Allegany County residents and the community as a whole, according to Tanya Gomer with the Opioid Task force…

“Allegany Count Health Department, Department of Social Services, State’s Attorney Office, AHEC West, the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office, and Cumberland Police.  Allegany County Public Schools, and for Cumberland Police Department for the Red Shield Program.”
