Local Business Owner At White House Summit
Stephanie Davis, owner of Country Diva Hair Salon in Frostburg recently had the opportunity to visit the White House for a small business summit hosted by President Donald Trump. It was the first gathering in over 30 years for independent business owners from across the country. President Trump thanked those attending, calling them the lifeblood of the economy…
“Small business owners and operators, the people in this room, represent the 36 million small businesses that create 40% of all economic activity in the United States.”
Davis said the President would like to see a Main Street business revival…
“Comes from the America-first policies like deregulation, tax exemptions, low taxes. That gives resources like loans at low cost or interest to pump some life into the economy at the local level. Which we need around here – we really need it around here.”
