East Harrison Street On View Arrest

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 9:00 PM the Cumberland Police Department was dispatched to the train station on East Harrison Street for an intoxicated passenger causing a disturbance. Upon arrival officers spoke to the train conductor who advised the intoxicated passenger needed to be removed from the train. Officers contacted the subject who initially refused to provide his name. The subject would not leave the train, so he was placed under arrest. The male was later identified as John Jacobs. Jacobs was transported to the Allegany County Detention Center for central booking. Jacobs is awaiting his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner as of this writing.
