Summons Served Malicious Destruction of Property

On Thursday, July 9, 2026, the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Hawke Coffman. The summons resulted from a destruction of property investigation. On July 5th, officers were contacted by a victim in the 400 block of Grand Avenue regarding damage to their vehicle. Officers reviewed camera footage and observed Coffman striking the vehicle. The officer applied for charges at the District Court Commissioner and a summons was issued. Coffman signed for the summons and was released pending trial at the Allegany County District Court.
