Roof Replacement Program Accepting Applications

Owner-occupied homes assessed at under $100,000 within Cumberland may apply for the City’s Roof Replacement Program.  Applicants must meet an income requirement of 50% of the Area Median Income.  Details are on the City’s website at cumberland.gov, and applications can be obtained at City Hall.  Chelsea Rexrode with the City says the program money will go quickly…

“We solicit three contractors to give us an estimate for the project, and then, of course, we’re going to go with the lowest estimate that comes in.  We are thinking anywhere from three-to-four roofs, but we will have to see once we start getting applications in and getting estimates done.”
