A veteran county employee was named this week as acting planning coordinator by the Allegany County commissioners. David Dorsey was appointed to the post Tuesday and will begin work Feb. 1, taking over for current Planning Coordinator Phil Hager. Hager has accepted a similar position in Carroll County and will be departing on the day Dorsey takes over. Hager took the county planning job in 2006. County Administrator David Eberly said that several employees in the department have come forward to offer their support for the needs of the commission- and that there should be a smooth transition from Hager to Dorsey, which will include the involvement of Planning Commission Chair William Duvall…
