Early voting in Maryland starts today

April 14th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

There are more than 60 early voting centers in the state. Registered voters can cast ballot between now and next Thursday, April 21st.  The centers are open on Saturday and Sunday as well.

If you missed the deadline to register to vote in the primary, you can register at the early voting centers. State elections officials say you must bring a document proving your residency. Once you are registered you can then vote on the same day.

Elections officials expect a good turnout for early voting since it is a presidential election year.

Voters will also be using paper ballots for this election instead of the touch screen voting machines.
