The future of the Canal Place Preservation and Development Authority is very much in a state of flux these days with dissatisfaction over the lack of businesses at Canal Place- and a perceived lack of leadership. Earlier this month executive director Renee Bone informed board members that she would be stepping down from the post she has held for three years to pursue other opportunities. She talked with WCBC News and said that although she is is leaving the job, its not because she had concerns about the overall operation- saying she remains optimistic that the Canal Place concept can fully develop.
