Lavale Woman Arrested on Assault Charges

On August 13, 2019 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Parkview Liquors located at 80 Greene Street for a domestic assault.  Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a male victim.  Officers were advised by the victim that his girlfriend, Farrah Mia Thomas just assaulted him and left the store.  During an investigation into the matter, officers learned from the victim and store employees that Thomas came into the store and started arguing with the victim in the back office.  Thomas who was upset started throwing bottles of liquor at the victim.  The confrontation moved out into the store front, at which time Thomas grabbed several larger bottles of whiskey and threw them at the victim.  Thomas began throwing additional bottles throughout the store breaking merchandise.  The victim also told police that Thomas used a box cutter against him slicing his hand.  Police were able to contact Thomas and have her return to the store.  Thomas was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Thomas was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner.  Thomas was held in the Allegany County Detention Center without bond.

Arrested: Farrah Mia Thomas          Age: 38 of Lavale, MD

Charges: 1st Degree Felony Assault and 2nd Degree Assault.
