On 9/27/2014 at 9:10 PM Deputies of the Allegany County Sheriff's Office responded to 15321 Miners Ave. in Frostburg (Midland) for an assault that had occurred involving a firearm.
Upon arrival deputies made contact with the victims who stated that they were inside their residence when a white male entered the residence and assaulted one of the residents. When another occupant attempted to intervene the suspect allegedly brandished a handgun causing both occupants to fear for their lives.
The suspect then fled the scene. Upon interviewing the victims numerous pieces of personal and identifiable property that belonged to the suspect were found dropped at/near the scene. Upon searching the area deputies ultimately located and arrested the suspect Daniel Lynn Miller, 32 years old of Lonaconing Maryland.
Miller was transported to the District Court Commissioner for an initial appearance and held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
Miller was charged with the following:
1st Degree Assault x 2
2nd Degree Assault x2
1st Degree Burglary
Disorderly Conduct
Disturbing the Peace
Dangerous Weapon Conceal
Use of a Handgun in Commission of a Crime of Violence
