Morriss Wins Big in Mayor Race; Comments on Caporale’s Seat

November 7th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

Ray Morriss won a convincing win over incumbent Brian Grim in the race for mayor of Cumberland. Morriss received 65% of the vote in the city. With current councilman Dave Caporale leaving his seat to become a county commissioner, Morriss said he would like to be a part of the process for Caporale's replacement.

City council winners were Rock Cioni and Seth Bernard. Cioni agreed with Morrissthat he should be part of choosing a new councilman to replace Caporale.

Grim will likely try to have himself appointed to the council.
