No Change In Policy At Allegany Co. Animal Shelter

For more than a year now a debate on operations and management of the Allegany County Animal Shelter has centered on which type of facility to run- a standard shelter, or one that employs a “no kill” philosophy. While management has changed at the shelter with Camille Carrico resigning the position last December, and Karl Brubaker beginning those duties in April- there has been no official change in policy. Brubaker says that there may have been a change in philosophies when it comes to making final determinations on euthanizing cats or dogs- the shelter has not been designated a “no-kill” shelter…
