Allegany County Public Schools will hold the second parent conferences of the 2013-2014 school year today, Thursday, February 6, 2014. Parents or guardians are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to meet their child’s teachers and review with them his or her academic and behavioral progress.
Elementary conferences will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2-5:30 p.m. Lunch for elementary teachers is scheduled from 1-2 p.m. Secondary conferences will be held from 8-11 a.m. and from 12-3:30 p.m. Lunch for secondary teachers is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Teachers at all levels will not be available for conferences during their lunch hour.
Elementary schools will follow the same school-based procedure for scheduling conferences as in the past. Information has been sent home with students. Parents or guardians of middle and high school students had the opportunity to request a conference appointment with the teachers with whom they would like to meet; however, appointments are not necessary as walk-ins are welcome throughout the day.
