Same Sex Marriage

October 22nd, 2012 by WCBC Radio

One of the most frequent criticisms aimed at those groups opposed to seeing same sex marriage legalized in Maryland is that they are anti-gay. Those charges are not accurate according to Calvary Baptist Church Pastor Bruce McBride. McBride, who is the local head of the Maryland Marriage Alliance says that Marylanders can love and accept their gay colleagues, friends and family members without having to redefine marriage. He is urging citizens to vote against Question 6 when they go to the polls on November 6th

If you love and accept someone….why would you deny them their basic rights? This bill does not threaten marriage or churches. Churces will not have to marry them or accept them as married in the church. They are not asking for special rights. They are asking for the same rights the rest of us have. Religious people are judging and finding them unworthy of those rights. It doesn’t sound like love and acceptance to me.

Love & acceptance doesn’t mean condoning or compromising. Religious people didn’t define or start marriage. GOD did. Wanting to keep it that way isn’t hate for people but love for him. This bill also doesn’t give anything new to same see couples. Under existing M.D. law they can already receive the benefits they say they want. What it does is take away freedom of religion for any church that receives state or federal funding. Many do to further thier community outreach. There is also no protection for individuals such as independent pastors

I’ve been surfing online more than three hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It’s pretty worth enough for me.
In my opinion, if all web owners and bloggers made good
content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than
    ever before.
