Maryland State Police say they are investigating graffiti on the outside wall of a former military building in Westminster as a "hate crime."
The graffiti was made in black paint and says, "NO ILLEAGLES HERE NO UNDOCUMENTED DEMOCRATS."
WCBC News reported earlier this week that plans to locate undocumented children who had crossed the southern border of the United States had fallen through.
There are no leads, and troopers are hoping the perpetrators brag about their involvement to help identify suspects. Hate crime convictions could lead to up to three years in prison and up to a $5,000 fine.
