According to WBAL News, there is a confirmed case of the West Nile virus in Maryland. The Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene reported Friday that an adult male in Central Maryland has the state’s first confirmed case of symptomatic West Nile virus. The case announced Friday is the first case in Maryland in 2012.
