The 18th Annual Deep Creek Dunk was held Saturday, benefiting Special Olympics Maryland.
A record 740 dunkers jumped into the freezing waters of Deep Creek Lake, with about $167,000 raised. Final numbers will be released in a few days.
The event is cosponsored by Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police, and the event is a sister to the Polar Bear Plunge in the Baltimore area.
