On 2/9/18, at approximately 4:40 PM Deputies of The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Rt. 220 near Warrior Drive in Cresaptown
Evasive mannerisms of the operator lead deputies to further investigate the traffic stop.
As a result the operator, 45 year old Scott Brant of Bowling Green (Cumberland), admitted to being in possession of a controlled dangerous substance.:
A search of the vehicle lead to the seizure of the following:
37 grams of suspected marijuana
78 Schedule IV prescription pills
100 Schedule II prescription pills
A sum of US Currency
Digital Scales
Drug packaging material
Sales ledger
And other assorted CDS distribution paraphernalia.
Brant was charged with
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotic x 2
CDS Possession with Intent to Distribute x 5
CDS Possession Not Marijuana x 6
CDS Possession Marijuana over 10gm x 1
CDS Possession Paraphernalia x1
Brant was taken before an Allegany County District Court Commissioner and ordered held without bond at the Allegany County Detention Center.
