WCBC has obtained a letter with the signature of Allegany County Education Association President John Reushlein outlining a tentative agreement between the ACEA and the Board of Education.
Union UNISERV Director Evan West tells us that the agreement is still in the process of ratification and he can’t comment on the terms, nor on bullet points contained in a membership memo.
One of those points explained that the system had dipped into the fund balance several times this year to cover cost overruns in health care and the fund would be in the red after the school year.
Superintendent of Schools Dr David Cox tells WCBC News there is still significant money in the general fund for the system, and there are rules against running in the red…
