ACM Sees Major Changes in Administration

June 10th, 2015 by WCBC Radio

A major shake-up in upper level administration at Allegany College of Maryland has left two long time vice presidents out of a job- and two others essentially demoted.  AC President Dr Cynthia Bambara notified staff, faculty and administrators on Monday of the restructuring that will take effect as of July 1st. Gone are the positions of vice president of Administrative Services which has been held by Mona Clites; and vice-president of advancement and enrollment management- which has been held by Linda Price.  In addition, Jeff Kirk and Rene Conner will see their vice president titles removed, and will serve as deans. The position of Senior  Vice President of Instruction-basically second in command in the structure- will remain, and is currently held by David Hines however that could change in the near future as WCBC News has learned that Hines is a finalist for a college presidency in Texas.  Dr Bambara talked with WCBC News and said she could not discuss specific personnel moves, but did acknowledge that a major  restructuring is being implemented. She said that recent state budget cuts had little to do with the decision, it was based on a thorough evaluation of the system…
