Allegany College of Maryland (ACM) invites new and current students to register for its summer session and fall 2021 semester. Academic advising and class registration for the summer full-term, summer A and B terms, and the fall semester opens on Monday, April 12.
ACM’s summer session provides current ACM students and transient students (those who normally attend another college or university during the fall and spring semesters) the chance to choose from 110 sections of 79 courses. A-term and full-term summer courses begin on Monday, May 17 and end on Monday, June 21. B-term summer courses begin on Tuesday, June 22 and end on Tuesday, July 27. Full-term courses run 10 weeks from May 17 through July 27.
The college kicks off its sixtieth academic year in August by offering 534 sections of 253 courses for the fall semester. Full-term courses start on Monday, August 23, and delayed-start courses begin on Tuesday, September 14. Fall break is scheduled for October 10 and 11. All fall semester courses end on Friday, December 10.
ACM offers instruction in multiple in-person, hybrid and online formats, including F2F or face-to-face-instruction, F2FA or face-to-face alternating schedule instruction, online, blended or hybrid, flex, and distance learning or telecourses. Students may preview available courses online at selfservice.allegany.edu/Student/Courses.
Financial aid and payment plans for tuition and fees are available. The college offers in-person and virtual advising appointments for students, including those planning to transfer their ACM credits to a four-year college or university. Advising appointments are required for new students. Information is available at allegany.edu/advising-center.
