UPDATED: Allegany County Dealing with Power Outages

10:30 AM UPDATE – Potomac Edison is reporting that the number has been cut in half, with about 1000 out in Allegany County.  Over 200 are out in each of Cumberland, Corriganville and Flintstone.

After severe thunderstorms hit the area overnight, Potomac Edison is reporting over 2,000 customers affected by various power outages. Outages started around approximately 3:00 a.m., with Cumberland reporting 761 outages, Corriganville with 239, and Ellerslie with 353.

Garrett County is also reporting over 1,000 outages this morning in the aftermath of storms that ripped through the region. Potomac Edison says that crews have been dispatched, and currently working to restore power.

    I guess the state will fine everyone effected $500 for simply being a fire victim and other victim under the stay at home violation.
