Allegany County drug court coordinator arrested, facing assault charges

September 3rd, 2019 by WCBC Radio

WCBC News has confirmed that a Cumberland man  serving as Allegany County's drug court coordinator was arrested Friday following an alleged assault of his girlfriend at a Frederick Street residence. The Cumberland Police Department reported  32 year-old Travis Lee Lindner, 32, was charged with first- and second-degree assault, reckless endangerment and false imprisonment before he was ordered jailed without bond by a district court commissioner.  He was arrested after the victim required  medical treatment at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.  The victim reportedly told police she was assaulted by Lindner, her boyfriend, who choked her to near unconsciousness and then threw her to the floor. Medical staff at the hospital reportedly observed the victim's injuries, which were consistent with her allegations.  The grant-funded drug court coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day planning, development, management, monitoring and coordination of Allegany County Circuit Court's problem-solving court program.

    Innocent til proven guilty??
1st Hand experience.. Allegations & charges aren’t always true~Yet, there’ll rarely be a follow-up story if innocent, let alone an apology esp After rep & career is ruined!
