Jessica L. Palumbo has joined Allegany County Government as the Marketing and
Sales Manager for Allegany County Tourism. Palumbo had been Director of
FrostburgFirst, Inc. , a Maryland Main Street Community, for the past two and a half
years.
Palumbo's key achievement there was her involvement with the Small Business
Revolution project championed by Deluxe Enterprise Operations, LLC, in 2017.
FrostburgFirst competed against 14,000 entries and rose to be a top eight finalist for a
$500,000 Main Street Makeover.
As the Marketing and Sales Manager, Palumbo will report to the Director of Tourism
Ashli Workman. "Jessica definitely possesses a wide range of relevant skills and
applicable experience. She has successfully worked with a variety of stakeholders on
highly collaborative projects and programs. Jessica has been and will continue to be a
strong advocate for Allegany County," Workman stated.
Jeffrey S. Barclay, Allegany County Department of Economic and Community
Development Director, stated: "Jessica is an excellent addition to our tourism team and
will provide much needed assistance to the Director of Tourism. Jessica has
demonstrated her abilities through past experience and should prove to be a valuable
asset and ambassador for Allegany County and the region."
Palumbo's background includes digital and print marketing campaigns, media writing,
social media and website management, grant research, writing, and management,
event planning, project organization, business retention , budget development, paid and
volunteer staff management, and data collection and analysis.
