Andrew Duck Hits Campaign Trail Amid Speculation That Rep. Delaney Will Seek Governor’s Office

After filing to officially enter the 2018 race for Democratic nominee to the U.S. House for the 6th District of Maryland last week, Andrew Duck hit the campaign trail.  Duck, a Democrat who has unsuccessfully run for the 6th District seat in Congress three times before, hopes to seize the moment, building a grassroots campaign in light of speculation that current Rep. John Delaney (D) will cede the seat to seek the governor’s office. A run for governor is just one of the rumors that have been circulating about Delaney’s political future- culminating last month when MSNBC’s Chris Wallace mentioned that the Maryland democrat had already opened an office in Iowa in anticipation of running for president in 2020. Delaney was quick to shoot that rumor down…
