Maryland Republican Party Chairman Dirk Haire released the following statement on the passing of Anne Arundel County Delegate Ted Sophocleus:
"We are saddened to learn of the passing of Anne Arundel County Delegate Ted Sophocleus this evening. We thank him for his service to all of the residents of Anne Arundel County over the past 35 years as a County Councilman and State Delegate.
Ted was one of the nicest people in Annapolis and was able to put politics aside to do what was right for his constituents. We extend our condolences to his wife Alice, his children and grandchildren, and all of his friends and family at this sad time."
