Assistance Of The Public To Locate Wanted Sex Offender Kevin Silver

 Martinsburg, WV. – The Mountain State Fugitive Task Force is requesting the assistance of the public in locating fugitive Kevin Silver 49, of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Kevin Silver is wanted by the West Virginia State Police on charges of Failing to Register as a convicted Sex Offender.

Kevin Silver was convicted in federal court in 2001 for Transport of a Minor for the Purpose of Engaging in Sexual Activity, and served approximately 2 1/2 years in a federal correctional facility. In 2003 Kevin Silver served approximately 1 year and 10 months in in West Virginia for 2 counts of 3rd Degree Sexual Assault and given 3 years of probation. Victim was a female acquaintance between ages 13-17. Due to his crimes Kevin Silver is required to adhere to a lifetime registration. Kevin Silver has ties to the Martinsburg and Inwood, West Virginia area. Silver may also have fled to Virginia with extended family. The Martinsburg Office of MSFTF is a team of the following Federal, State and Local agencies: West Virginia State Police, Martinsburg City Police, Shepherdstown Police Department, Berkeley County Sheriff Department, Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Mineral County Sheriff’s Office, Morgan County Sheriff’s Office and the U.S. Marshals Service. The primary mission of the U.S. Marshals led task forces is to locate and capture fugitives charged with violent crimes, drug crimes, sex offenders and other violent felony offenses.
