If that was 500 people than the BLM rally had 3,000 people!! And half looked to be law enforcement folks! But at least the vast majority had sense enough to wear masks (and wear them properly!) (btw, I was at both, as BLM is also PRO-police, lawful policing that is. And culling bad cops protects and honors those officers doing their best!)

      > Uh, that would be a no on BLM being pro-police. There could be individuals within that movement that are but the organization itself is not.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a decentralized movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against African-American people. While Black Lives Matter can primarily be understood as a decentralized social movement, an organization known simply as Black Lives Matter exists as a decentralized network with about 16 chapters in the United States and Canada. The broader movement and its related organizations typically advocate against police violence towards black people, as well as for various other policy changes considered to be related to black liberation.

Google BLM and defund police and you find a page where they support defunding the police. If this is what you mean as Pro-police I think most people would disagree. BLM has a website that states its principals, that doesn’t sound too decentralized to me. As I understand the three founders are communist (some say homosexual) radical woman libers. They are against the nuclear family, which the break down of the family has been atrocious to this country especially the black community. You can be for improving the policing of the country but I think what when on in Seattle shows what happens when you have a weak police force. If BLM didn’t condone what went on there I didn’t hear of them condemning it. You can have a good idea but go about it wrong. They are communistic anarchist and nothing good will come from their tactics.

            > If you looked into it you’d know many (or most) want to divert funding (defund is a bad word choice, imo) from police and into mental health care, & other preventative spending, etc. The goal is to relieve police from having to always have to deal with the mentally ill and other health & social problems that shouldn’t be dumped on them! And free them up to deal with ACTUAL crime fighting. And most police agree!! Asking them to be mental health experts and social workers, etc etc and then criticizing them for falling short is B.S.

The stated goals of BLM are anti-Christian, because of it’s thoughtfully crafted agenda, values and mission. BLM is unmistakably incompatible with Biblical Christianity. According to it’s own “herstory,” BLM was founded by three women of color, two of whom are self proclaimed “queer.” And while these women may care about injustice and racism, they also care about normalizing sexual deviance, deconstructing the Biblical definition of family, and emasculating strong black men who identify as straight..
          1. BLM seeks to dismantle the Biblical definition of family.
          2. BLM champions the celebration of homosexuality.
          3. BLM touts gender confusion as normal and seeks to make heroes of those who are mentally confused.
The many reasons Christians have to reject this movement can easily be found at BlackLivesMatter.com..>

Jay, no offense intended but being a Christian by definition is one who follows the teachings of Jesus as revealed in the Bible. If your life’s morals are guided by the Bible then you can’t leave it out of any discussion of right and wrong. I understand not everybody agrees with the teaching of Jesus, but if you are a Christian you have no option.

As for Kevin, BM is only quoting what is on their website. If that is not what they stand for, BLM should change their site.

BLM being anti-police is a pretty broad statement. What can you site as evidence to back up that claim?
