Bartlett Endorses Amie Hoeber For Congressional Seat

When Roscoe Bartlett left his Washington D.C. office after serving as western Maryland’s congressman for twenty years- he shocked many of his constituents, colleagues, friends and family by making a decision to “get off the grid”.  After losing his re-election bid to democrat John Delaney in a newly redistricted district- Bartlett and his wife decided to move to the West Virginia Mountains. Their cabin is devoid of outside electricity, phone service, or municipal plumbing. Public appearances for the retired congressman have been few since he left office, but he did make a recent appearance in Frederick to endorse the candidacy of republican Amie Hoeber as she hopes to challenge Delaney in the fall.  During brief remarks at a fundraiser, Bartlett talked about the importance of the Republican Party running quality candidates for office. He says any republican running in the sixth district faces some steep odds given the heavy democrat voter advantage…
