September 11th, 2017 by WCBC Radio

The Allegany County Board of Education has not commented on claims made against a male teacher at Mountain Ridge High School by a female student. Frostburg City police confirmed that there was a response to the school, but that the matter is now being handled by the Allegany County Combined Criminal Investigation Unit. Thus far C3I investigators have offered no statements. Several sources have confirmed the name of the teacher as well as the student. A spokesperson for the Board of Education told WCBC News that in cases such as these, the policy is to issue a joint statement in conjunction with the investigating law enforcement agency, when the investigation is complete- and if the allegations are deemed credible.
