Citizens on Cumberland’s West Side have become increasingly frustrated with the lack of action on the three CSX bridges that are currently closed. Bridges on Washington, Cumberland and Fayette street have been closed for some time- deemed unsafe for travel- and making life challenging for those who reside in that part of town. While a series of monthly meetings between the city and CSX Transportation were held late last year- those regular sessions have stopped while both sides awaited engineering studies. Those studies are now complete and the city council should have some new information to report as early as next week.
