A fire at a residence in Carpendale Tuesday morning brought response from 14 fire and rescue companies. Firemen on the scene told WCBC News that there were no injuries and that the single story home was basically gutted, making a possible cause difficult to immediately determine. Sources at the scene said two people lived in the structure, and had left for work at 6:30 in the morning.
