Citizens Group Fighting Dan’s Mountain Wind Farm Project Holds Informational Meeting

January 16th, 2020 by WCBC Radio

The citizens group fighting the proposed Dan’s Mountain wind farm project held another informational meeting this week providing updates on the ongoing effort to see that wind mills are not constructed there. A crowd estimated at 70 attended the session held at City Place in Frostburg.  For the project to receive final approval, Dan’s Mountain Wind Force, LLC must receive a certificate of public convenience from the Maryland Public Service Commission.  ANCHOR officials said they were concerned by reports received just prior to the meeting that the company has filed for approval for the project with the PSC. ANCHOR President Darlene Park said that she has had a chance to review the paper work submitted to the PSC and was alarmed to see it suggest that there should be no need for additional public comment or input on the project…

Come election time the current County Commissioners will find out just how wrong they are supporting this project. All three have lost my vote over this issue, they have sold the citizens for a quick buck.

Sure hope the Public Service Commission doesn’t believe the lies in the application and that they hold community forums and find out how the citizens of the county really feel. Not how the politicians who got paid feel.

Talk about stacking the deck. The county pushed this right through without consideration of 100s of citizens in the area.
