On Thursday, June 20th, 2019, the Cumberland City Police arrested Daniel Harrison Shanholtz, age 37, of Cumberland MD. Shanholtz was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant stemming from an incident which occurred on February 7th, 2019. During that incident, it is alleged that Shanholtz stole power tools from a vehicle parked in the 700 block of E. First St. The tools were then sold by Shanholtz to an individual for a total of $350. The stolen property was able to be recovered and returned to its rightful owner. Shanholtz was taken before the District Court Commissioner for his initial appearance where he was released on his own personal recognizance.
