On 05/09/2015 @ 11:10 a.m. units from the Cumberland City Police responded to the 600 block of Elm Street for a reported disturbance.
Upon the officers arrival they contacted a male subject, who was determined to be the victim of an assault. The male subject told the officer that a female, Jessica Michels attempted to assault him with a knife.
During the course of the investigation, officers were able to view video footage of the incident.
The video footage was consistent with the statements that were provided to the officers.
As a result of the officer’s investigation, Jessica Michels was placed under arrest and transported to the station for charges and processing.
Michels was later transported to the District Court Commissioner for her initial appearance. As a result of the hearing she was held at the Allegany County Detention Center on a $16,500.00 bond.
The victim did not require medical treatment as a result of the incident.
