City Police Make Assault Arrest; Seek Info on Breaking and Entering

On August 30, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to 515 Sheridan Place, Apartment #5 for a reported domestic assault.  Upon the officers arrival they made contact with a male victim.  Officers were informed by the victim that he had been residing at the residence but moved out earlier in the week.  After returning to the residence to retrieve some belongings, he was confronted by Adriane Price.  According to the victim, Price tried to argue with him about wanting to move out.  When he ignored her attempt to argue, he was punched by Price.  The victim had visible injuries that were consistent with being punched.  As a result of this incident, Price was placed under arrest at the scene and transported to the Cumberland City Police Department for processing.  Price was processed, served and taken before the District Court Commissioner for a bond hearing.  Price was released on her own personal recognizance.

Arrested: Adriane Lynn Price                     Age: 29 of Cumberland, MD

Charge: 2nd Degree Assault

 

Breaking and Entering

On August 31, 2016 officers from the Cumberland City Police Department responded to Woodchux bar located at 764 Greene Street for a breaking and entering in progress.  Upon the officers arrival the front door was found open and the glass broken from the door.  The building was searched with no one located inside.  Information from the witness revealed that a white male was seen inside the bar prior to the officers arriving.  The suspect fled the building prior to the officers arriving.  The suspect is described as a white male wearing tan pants and light colored shirt.   Anyone with information regarding this case is asked to contact the Cumberland City Police Department at 301-777-1600.
