City ready to take ownership of Cumberland Street Bridge

November 6th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

In what appears to be the first "official" agreement between the city of Cumberland and CSX Transportation appears on the agenda of this Thursday's council meeting. Listed as a consent agenda item, the council is expected to accept the quitclaim bill of sale transferring the Cumberland Street Bridge from CSX to the city. The city has been meeting with CSX through the summer and fall attempting to reach compromise solution to the three Westside bridges that are all currently closed.
