The Maryland Public Service Commission will hold two public hearings this month on the application by Columbia Gas of Maryland to raise its rates by just over $6 million. Columbia serves approximately 33,000 customers in Allegany, Garrett and Washington counties in Maryland. The proposed rates would result in a bill increase of $10.26 (or 13.4%) for the average residential customer.
Members of the public who wish to comment on the matter may attend one or both of the public hearings before Chief Public Utility Law Judge Ryan C. McLean, scheduled as follows:
