Commissioners Approve Contract for AC Corrections Training Center

During the final public meeting of the year, the Allegany County Commissioners approved a $2.3 million contract for construction of the Western Correctional Training Center at Allegany College of Maryland.  The action awards the contract to Daystar Builders Inc. of Grantsville to construct the center adjacent to ACM’s Continuing Education Building.  Paul Kahl, county deputy director of public works, said the county helped  Allegany College secure funding from the state of Maryland in the amount of  $1.65 million.     Great, now ACM will teach prison guarding along with bank tellering and many other tasks that should not require more than a week’s training for anyone keen enough to do them.

    Don’t worry Bob. Most of Western Maryland applicants can’t pass the background. And if you weren’t an obvious idiot, like most from Western Maryland, you would know that ACM and the State has a partnership and the State Police is trained there as well.
