The Allegany County Commissioners are continuing to move aggressively in the proposed development of property located off Laurelhurst Boulevard on U.S. Route 220 South at Rawlings, also known as Cumberland Chase. Earlier this month the commissioners released the request for proposals and on Thursday a $1.1 million construction contract was awarded to Carl Belt Inc to develop the entrance and improve the road heading into the sub division.
