The Allegany County Commissioners took their show on the road Thursday evening, conducting the regular weekly business meeting at the Little Orleans Fire Hall. Holding county meetings at different locations around the county has been a regular occurrence for the commissioners in the past five year as the officials have sought to reach out to outlying communities in an effort to encourage citizens to become more engaged in the process. It was a busy agenda for the commissioners last night including taking action on a water and sewer bond authorization; and approving the five year capital improvement program. The county also approved a budget amendment from the Board of Education, making final the board’s FY 2016 budget. Board members have chided the commissioners for failing to fully fund their request this year- however Commissioners President Bill Valentine says the school board has little room for to offer such criticism…
