Congressman Continues To Bash Governor Hogan For Not Endorsing A GOP Candidate

March 9th, 2016 by WCBC Radio

Following wins Tuesday night in Michigan, Mississippi and Hawaii, Donald Trump now has a commanding lead in the Republican presidential primary. Last week, Congressman John K. Delaney (MD-6) called for Governor Larry Hogan to clarify his position on Trump’s candidacy. Hogan refused to answer the question as to if he supported Trump on Friday and again on Tuesday Hogan skirted the question while speaking with reporters.

Congressman Delaney releases the following statement:

“On Tuesday Governor Hogan said he wasn’t paying attention to the Presidential race, but he paid enough attention to travel to New Hampshire to campaign for Trump’s strongest supporter Chris Christie. We are not asking Governor Hogan to travel to another state, we are just asking a very simple yes or no question. Will Governor Hogan support Donald Trump’s campaign if he becomes the Republican nominee for President? Based on Trump’s behavior, this should be an easy yes or no answer for Governor Hogan. Answering a simple yes or no will not distract from his job, and doesn't require more of his famous polling data – just a straightforward answer for the people of Maryland who care about the country.”
