Congressman Trone will visit Allegany and Garrett counties Friday

Congressman David Trone (MD-06), the only member of the Maryland Delegation on the Education and Labor Committee, announced he will visit three higher education institutions in Western Maryland on Friday.

 

Trone will start the day at Garrett College for a groundbreaking ceremony, followed by stops at Frostburg State University and Allegany College of Maryland. He will end the day stopping by to thank first responders in Washington County who have been on the front lines of responding to the opioid epidemic and the COVID-19 pandemic. Details of the entire day are below. 

 

Friday, August 28th: 

9:00am                           Garrett College: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Community Education and Performing Arts Center

                                          Location: Garrett College

 

11:30am                         Frostburg State University: Groundbreaking Ceremony for Education and Health Sciences Building

                                          Location: Frostburg State University

 

3:00pm                           Allegany College of Maryland: Site Progress Update, Adaptive Community and Workforce Training Center

                                         Location: Allegany College of Maryland

               

5:30pm                           Visit COVID-19 and Opioid Epidemic First Responders

                                         Location: Hagerstown

 

Congressman David Trone was elected to the House of Representatives in November 2018 to serve the 6th District of Maryland, which includes all or part of Montgomery, Frederick, Washington, Allegany, and Garrett Counties. Trone serves on the Education and Labor, Foreign Affairs, and Joint Economic Committees, where he is fighting to make progress on issues that matter to Marylanders, including the opioid epidemic, criminal justice reform, and funding for medical research.

    Maybe he can get the schools to reopen. Kids need to go back
