June 27th, 2018 by WCBC Radio

The big news from Tuesday’s primary election in Allegany County is that two term incumbent Bill Valentine has been voted out by Republicans.  The top three finishers for the Republicans were David Caporale, Jake Shade, and Creade Brodie, Jr.  Brodie said that Valentine had worked hard during his tenure as a commissioner.

The top vote getter was Cumberland city councilman Dave Caporale, who said that coming in first place in the primary is no guarantee of November success.

Incumbent Jake Shade said that he thinks working with Brodie and Caporale will be beneficial for the entire county.
