CPD Serves Arrest Warrants Monday

On Monday, March 25th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Eric Leighton Brewington.  The warrant was issued by District Court when application was in reference to an investigation that occurred on March 17th, 2019 at an Independence Street residence.  On that date, officers responded and the complainant stated that Brewington forced open his door by breaking out the glass and kicking it in.  He then allegedly made entry into the home and harassed and threatened the complainant and another occupant.  Brewington was charged with burglary 3rd, 4th, trespassing, malicious destruction of property, and harassment.  He was taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held without bond.

Violation of Probation

 

On Monday, March 25th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served an arrest warrant on Kathleen Elizabeth Harris for violation of probation.  The warrant was issued by District Court for failing to follow the conditions of her probation ordered by the court on April 9th, 2018.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a $500 bond.
