Cumberland Police Make Trespassing Arrest & Investigate Destruction Of Property Complaints

On 01/09/18 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to Allegany High School for a reported trespassing complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted school administrators who advised of two male subjects who were not students and had entered the school and failed to register and leave when instructed to do so. As a result Officers placed 20 year old Shaquan Quarles of Brooklyn MD and 19 year old Nicholas Winkey of Pomfret MD under arrest and transported them to Police Headquarters where they were issued Maryland Criminal Citations for trespassing and released pending trial in District Court.

 

Destruction of Property

 

On 01/09/18 at 7:21pm Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 600blk of Kelly Rd in reference to a destruction of property complaint. Upon arrival it was learned that two parked unoccupied vehicles had their passenger side windows busted out. The suspect(s) then entered the vehicles and removed several items of value. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cumberland Police Dept at 301-777-1600.

On 01/09/18 Officers with the Cumberland Police Dept responded to the 300blk of Cumberland St in reference to a destruction of property complaint. Upon arrival Officers contacted the complainant who advised that sometime overnight person(s) unknown spray painted their company van with blue paint. There are no suspects or witnesses at this time.
