On Tuesday, March 26^th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Katelin Marie Moorehead for assault.  The summons was issued by District Court based on an application filed over an incident that took place at a N. Lee residence back on March 11^th, 2019.  On that date, Moorehead is alleged to have assaulted her boyfriend by striking him with her fist in the back of the head.  Moorehead was served her copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial.

Assault/Theft Arrest

On Tuesday, March 26^th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Wayne Larkin Sorrells II for assault and theft.  The summons was issued by District Court based on an application filed over an incident that took place at a Williams Street residence on March 25^th, 2019.  On that date, it is alleged that Sorrells struck a female in the face and took her cell phone during an argument.  He was served his copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial.

Obstructing Arrest

On Tuesday, March 26^th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a criminal summons on Alasha Marie Younger charging her with false statement and obstructing and hindering.  The summons was issued by District Court based on an application filed in reference to an incident that was reported by Younger to police on March 25^th, 2019.  On that date, Younger alleged that an unknown male broke into her residence on Pine Avenue and assaulted her.  Officers responded to the incident and spoke with Younger and later were able to determine Younger made up the incident by her own admission to cover up an altercation between her and her boyfriend.  Younger was served her copies of the charging documents and was released pending trial.

Bench Warrant Served

On Tuesday, March 26^th, 2019 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Shannon Eugenia Wilson.  The warrant was issued by District Court for failing to appear for trial on a theft charge.  She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and released on her own personal recognizance pending trial.
