On Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 the Cumberland Police Department served a bench warrant on Cassandra Kay Porter. The warrant was issued by District Court for failing to appear for trial on November 23rd, 2020 on a theft charge. Porter was also charged additionally with giving the officer a fictitious name at the time of her arrest. She was taken before the District Court Commissioner and was remanded to the Allegany County Detention Center held on a $5,000 bond.
