U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Ben Cardin and Congressmen John Sarbanes and Kweisi Mfume (all D-Md.) will host a press conference with Baltimore Mayor Jack Young, Maryland Senate President Bill Ferguson, and other local officials along with postal workers and union leaders to discuss delays in mail delivery and equipment removal and to demand fixes from the Trump Administration to end these problems.

    If David Dennison were ahead in the polls you wouldn’t have heard a word about mail-in voting.

      Which part is fake Kathy? That he is ahead, that he’s not trying to torpedo the post office, that the election will be rigged because of mail-in voting, or that mail-in voting is bad except for Florida where he mails in his vote. And please cite some polls that show he’s ahead.

        > Jay the post office needs no help, it is the worst run business in the country! I know this personally. The only way to fix it is get rid of it. Second, who gives a crap about polls right now, the election is 3 months away. Second, what you need to understand is pollsters call people nationwide and then use the nationwide numbers. Polls are very inaccurate.

          So you want to eliminate the post office? Hey Dan, it’s in the Constitution. Do you really think people who live in rural areas will get the same every-day service that they get now if the post office is eliminated? The post office is not designed to make a profit. Never was. It is a required governmental service.

            > No shit Jay, in fact your talking point came from Trump. Not making a profit doesn’t mean going in the hole millions of dollars. Amazon uses the USPS to ship packages at a very reduced rate and that cost is eaten.

      > Kathy don’t let Jay bring you down to his liberal level. That is the only way a libturd can make an argument. The easiest way to tell when a liberal is lying is when they open their mouth.

        Dan, you’re very good at name calling, not so good at facts.

          > As a postal employee I know the facts! The only way to fix the postal service is to eliminate it or eliminate the unions who control it. Eliminate delivery service and give every customer a PO box, no exceptions. This would save millions of dollars.

      HRC beat Trump by 2.9 million in the popular vote and I believe that Biden will beat him by even more than that. However, Trump could still win the electoral college vote which is what counts. Trump has to win PA, Wisconsin, and Michigan which were 3 states that he won last time by very, very slim margins. If Biden wins one or two of those Trump will not win. And the polls in Texas are fairly close right now because Texas is becoming more liberal as the years go by. If the Repubs ever lose Texas it’s pretty much over for the party on a national level. The big states where most of the population lives will overwhelmingly go Biden. You are welcome to vote for Trump if you live in MD but it’s a wasted vote. Maryland is deep blue.

    To all of the above;
    What has happened in this country?
    It’s a sign of the times that no two groups, Republicans vs Democrats, House vs Senate, Black vs White, Rich vs Poor, pick your own two groups, can communicate in this day and age.
    Nothing get’s accomplished in the USA as opposing groups lock horns and argue that they know what’s right for themselves and everyone else. Stagnation. Relations have become so polarized that no give and take is attempted let alone agreed upon.
    I have no solutions. If I did I’d try to lay them out for you but I know that someone diametrically opposed would just try to shout me down.
    As I said this is just a statement, not an answer.
