Deputies Complete Active Shooter Training

The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office strives to keep the Citizens of Allegany County safe and secure in their daily lives.  In our continued effort to keep Citizens safe, Sergeant Mike Beal and Deputy Todd Pressman recently became Certified Instructors through the ALICE Training Institute.  

ALICE is a nationally recognized training curriculum designed to prepare citizens to survive during an Active Shooter incident.  ALICE is a training acronym which teaches citizens to Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate. ALICE Training provides classroom and scenario-based training to better prepare citizens.  ALICE Training can be tailored specifically for schools, colleges, universities, businesses, health care facilities, government facilities and places of worship.

Any school, college, university, business, health care facility, government facility or place of worship in Allegany County Maryland that wishes to receive ALICE Training can contact the Allegany County Sheriff’s Office to schedule a consultation and training date.
